Q: What sparked your decision to invest in Quantum Motion?
The strategy of Quantum Motion leverages silicon semiconductor technologies, benefiting directly from decades of scale and infrastructure deployed by the classical semiconductor industry. This manufacturability-first mindset aligns completely with imec’s belief that industrialisation is essential to taking quantum computing out of the lab and into the real world. Equally decisive was the team itself, they combine world-class scientific depth with a clear understanding of how to build a commercial technology company, backed by top-tier venture capital support.
